About Your Therapist
I specialize in psychodynamic therapy — an approach that draws connections between your past and present, illuminating the patterns that shape how you relate to yourself and others. While cognitive approaches work well for some, others find that understanding a problem intellectually isn't enough to change how they feel. Psychodynamic therapy goes deeper, exploring what lies beneath the surface.
I hold a Master of Social Work in Clinical Social Work from the Smith College School for Social Work. My training spans homeless services, inpatient psychiatry, youth work, and street outreach. I also bring an educational background in philosophy, with a focus on the studies of mind, language, science, and religion.
I completed a fellowship at the Psychodynamic Couples and Family Institute of New England and am a member of the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy. I participate in ongoing supervision and continuing education to deepen my clinical expertise.

All services are conducted virtually via secure telehealth and are available to anyone residing in the state of Massachusetts.

Therapeutic Approach
I work relationally, creating space for honesty, humor, and validation. Rather than prescribing solutions, I challenge assumptions and thinking patterns while honoring that you are the expert on your own life. The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a vehicle for growth.
Past experiences shape how we see ourselves and relate to others, but we determine the meaning of our own experiences. Psychodynamic therapy draws connections between past and present, revealing the parallel struggles that keep us stuck — and opening new pathways forward.
I combine fierce compassion with healthy skepticism, focusing first on building a trusting relationship between us. I approach our differences with curiosity, respect, and humility, learning from our work together and growing as a clinician and person.
While some people benefit from cognitive-behavioral methods, others find that "knowing" the answer isn't enough. Psychodynamic therapy goes deeper — exploring what dwells beneath your feelings and helping you cultivate a strong sense that you are capable of change and deserving of goodness.
Individual Psychotherapy
Our past experiences inform our present — they shape how we see ourselves, the world around us, and how we relate to others. However, you determine the meaning of your own experiences, and everyone's narrative is different.
My approach involves addressing your existential concerns alongside unhealed internal wounds. Together we will examine your relationship patterns and work to replace what no longer serves you with a fresh perspective and new skills.
My hope is that through our work together, you cultivate a strong sense that you are capable of change and deserving of goodness.

Every close relationship includes each individual and the space between them. That space can be a playground for honesty, compassion, and understanding — but there are times when miscommunication and misinterpretation take hold.
Everyone brings a unique set of past experiences and survival skills to their relationships. We all face the challenge of loving someone through difference, leading each other through the woods again and again.
I work with every type of couple, including those involved non-romantically — friends, siblings, or parent and adult child. I am especially interested in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, and those in interfaith relationships.

The grief following the end of a relationship can be intense and devastating. Not only do we experience the pain of losing the relationship, but old wounds often resurface, making it harder to cope. Many of us hope to learn and grow in the wake of a breakup, but the process can be confusing and lonely. Everyone deserves to feel supported and given space to honor their grief. This group offers that space.
